About Langland Bay
Langland is a sandy beach that is fringed by huts, a popular destination for both visitors and locals all year round. The beach is only a 15-20 minute walk from the centre of Mumbles and offers a good range of facilities. When large swells are running up the Bristol Channel, breaks such as Crab Island, The Sand Bar, Middle Reef and Lefts start to work, attracting surfers from far and wide. If you are lucky you may observe a surfing competition, these are often held here when conditions prevail.

There is a beach shop situated on the promenade. There are two car parks behind the beach, both Pay & Display. Toilet Facilities in the main car park.
The promenade follows the coastline, to Caswell Bay (2.5km) to the West and Limeslade (2.5km) to the East. The path is generally good in most places, but there are some relatively steep inclines and steps that may not suit the less able.
There are all-weather tennis courts which are maintained and administered by the City Council. There is usually and attendant located at the entrance to the main car park. It is advisable to book in advance during peak periods. Tennis coaching available locally.
